Legal services camp with construction workers held

WOKHA, March 18: Legal services camp for workers in unorganized sector helped in registration of 193 construction workers under the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers scheme at Wokha on March 16.
The camp was organized by Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) under the aegis of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Wokha.
The WDLSA team of panel lawyers and para legal volunteers acted as a bridge between the construction workers and the nodal department by identifying the construction workers through the visitation of construction sites and door to door in Wokha town and nearby villages.

Around 358 beneficiaries turned up for the camp and availed free legal Aid rendered by Panel Lawyers and PLVs.
Meanwhile, WDLSA conducted UTRC quarterly meeting at legal aid clinic district jail Wokha on March 15. The meeting was attended by DC Wokha, SP Wokha, JMFC Wokha, Superintendent District Jail wokha, retainer lawyer WDLSA and panel advocate in-charge legal clinic.
