Leadership training at C-Edge college

Dimapur, October 14: C-Edge College IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) organised a leadership training programme on October 12 with the objective to develop effective and ethical leaders. The participants for the training programmes were the CEC Students Forum leaders, house leaders, hostel perfects and former CEC SF leaders.
In the first session the resources persons were Vishal Chauhan, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police on the topic ‘Defining an effective leadership’ and N. Bhavani, IAS, Assistant Commissioner on the topic ‘Leadership and team work’. The session was based on PowerPoint lectures with interactive time between the resource persons and the participants.
The second session was taken over by the Department of Management Studies on developing leadership skills. It was fully practical and activity based on team work, interpersonal skills and leadership related case studies.
In the concluding remarks by Inza, training programme coordinator mentioned that to show the value of the training and the certificate received, the participants have to uphold the leadership qualities and keep on that path.
The programme concluded with certification ceremony and sharing by the participants. (Page News Service)
