Dimapur, August 14: An organization called Low Budget Street Painters (LBSP) has been established in Longleng by five friends with the aim of beautifying the streets of Longleng town.
The five friends are Henok Phom of Yachem Village, N. Phamchong Phom of Orangkong village, Tokmei Phom of Orangkong village, I. Bauom Phom of Yaongyimchen village and B. Hankham Phom of Yongnyah village.
Established on June 10, 2020, LBSP is a non-profit self sponsored organization and apart from painting they also clean up drainage and abandoned walls and make sure the surrounding they work is neat and tidy. The project works are also uploaded in social media.
An official release said they mostly work on public charity and their aim is to cover the abandoned walls and streets of Longleng with their work of art. Projects are decided according to convenience and budget, which is a big challenge for them. They all are undergraduate students and have completed four to five projects within a month time.
The LBSP has urged young Nagas to do something good for the society during this time of pandemic and has also thanked well wishers who have helped them in various ways.
