Lavender’s Club Garden inaugurated at Lower T Khel


Kohima, June 9: In an initiative towards social responsibility, Lavender’s Club today inaugurated “Lavender’s Club Garden” at Lower T. Khel, near Don Bosco School.
The garden is the initiative of 16 members of Lavender’s Club based at T. Khel, Kohima village.
Inaugurating the garden, T. Khel council chairman Thepfuvilie Suohu maintained that the garden would go a long way in beautifying T. Khel in particular and Kohima village in general.
It would also draw the attention of the bright young minds to learn to appreciate as well as to conserve environment, he said.
Stating that Lavender’s Club focuses towards the well being of the society through philanthropic activities, he said their social services would positively take the society forward.
Lavender’s Club president Kevizelhou Jacob Solo said the club decided to come up with Lavender’s Club Garden in commemoration of its silver jubilee, which was celebrated in 2017.
He expressed gratitude to land owner Dr. Neikhrielie Solo for extending the land to the club and convert it into the mini park.
A plantation drive was also carried out within the area of the garden.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Lavender’s Club treasurer Ketsuse Belho. The programme concluded with “25th Lavender’s Club Monsoon feast.”
