Late Kevi Zakiesato laid to rest; Mourners demand arrest of killers


DIMAPUR, December 19: Hundreds of people cutting across Nagas and non-Nagas from different walks of life on Wednesday paid tearful farewell to one of Dimapur’s prominent philanthropist, late Kevi Zakiesato at his funeral service here. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son.
The funeral rites were conducted by Rev. Pastor Vilodi Sakhrie of Town Baptist Church, Dimapur. Later his mortal remains were laid to rest at his residential compound – Zakiesato Manor.
Late Kevi Zakiesato was found brutally murdered on December 18 inside his residential compound. Various organizations and State leaders have condemned the brutal murder and had demanded the law enforcing agencies to nab the killers.
All those who spoke in the funeral service eulogized about Late Kevi Zakiesato service to the people of the State, particularly citizens of Dimapur, and they were all equally vociferous in condemnation of his brutal murder and demanded the law enforcing agencies to immediately arrest those responsible for the crime.
