Landslide damages portion of Kohima SP office complex

Kohima, July 1: Incessant rain in the state capital for last several days has started creating havoc in the state capital with major landslide damaging the functional offices of different companies of Kohima District Executive Force (DEF) on Tuesday night. As per PRO Kohima police, the retaining wall of a Chief Engineer’s official residence just above SP Office Kohima in Officer’s Hill collapsed upon the roof Kohima DEF company office.
However, there was no human casualty as the landslide occurred last night when no one was in the office.
The boulders of the retaining wall damaged the tin roof and some other minor materials.
The company offices have been currently provided with make shift room within the SP office till the repair works are completed, sources said. (Page News Service)
