KVYO reiterates stand on protection of flora & fauna

Dimapur, November 5: The KVYO has reiterated its stand on protection of flora and fauna in its jurisdiction.
In a release, KVYO president Ruokuoneituo Phewhuo and general secretary Neingusalie Khruomo informed that there is total ban on hunting and fishing, burning of forest fire, collecting of herbs, firewood, etc, besides prohibition on setting of traps and snare in its ancestral jurisdiction.
The KVYO cautioned any perpetrators violating the rules will be punished according to traditional and customary law. (Page News Service)
