Dimapur, December 6: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, (Farm Science Centre) Kohima, celebrated and observed World Soil Day on December 5 on the theme: “Soil, where food begins” at Phenwhenyu Village Council hall with the participants from Guju and Phenwhenyu village. The objective of this programme is to create awareness about the importance of nature soil and how to conserve and manage the soil for profitability in agriculture for future generation. The resource persons were Dr. Martina Shitiri, ACTO and Keviyieno Zhasa, Technical Officer. The programme was chaired by Dr. Sesenlo Kath, Technical Officer while village council chairman pronounced vote of thanks. Demonstration of Agriculture Drone (Agribot) was also carried out by Dr. Sesenlo Kath (Technical Officer) and Drone Pilot before the formal programme.
