KVC condemns Mar 16 murder

Dimapur, March 26: The Kuda Village Council has expressed strongly condemned the heinous murder of Kevinguto Khate of Kuda Village (C-Khel) on March 16, and urged the authorities to leave no stone unturned in hunting down the culprits/masterminds and deliver justice at the earliest possible.
Late Kevinguto Khate (31), son of Late Rokozhasie and Hokhuli Khate, was found murdered in his car (NL-07H-8539) on the evening of March 16, along the Kuda Road-Phaipijang Junction, adjacent to the 66 KV power Sub-Station at Kuda Village.
KVC said his family members suspected foul play, and hence, along with Kuda Youth Club leaders, examined the footage of CCTV cameras at relevant locations. Upon analysis of the footage, the criminal activity and involvement of four persons were established which included two woman and two men, who drove in the victim’s car and parked it at the spot (at 12:10 PM, mid day), having dumped the dead victim inside his car and escaped in an auto rickshaw.
Late Kevinguto Khate was an accomplished Structural Engineer with an M. Tech degree from MIT Manipal, serving as Assistant Professor at NIT Nagaland, Chümoukedima since 2013 till his death.
In his untimely demise, the Kuda Village and the State of Nagaland has lost a talented citizen and an engineering technologist. His loss will be irreplaceable, KVC said.
The Kuda Village Council strongly condemn the brazen crime in broad daylight within the jurisdiction of the village and urged the police and administration to establish the motive of eliminating such a promising Naga youth and apparent larger conspiracy and to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest possible.
