Dimapur, December 3: Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur held its 29th General Session cum Parting Social on the theme “Paradigm Shift” at Town Hall on December 1.
During the event, Guest of Honour, P Longon, former Minister shared on his humble beginnings of his personal life and encouraged the gathering particularly the students to stay committed, work hard in pursuance of achieving higher goals in life.
He also reminded the students to stay rooted to their culture, traditions and to uphold the languages of the Tribe.
Tsongtsa, PA to MLA Khumo, also spoke on his behalf and encouraged the students to continue to strive and to excel in their respective fields.
The event witnessed two sessions where the formal session was chaired by Dr. Putchong Thai, welcome note was delivered by K. Buche Khiamniungan President KSUD.
L Butang President KUD also spoke during the event. Achievers in various fields were also felicitated by the KSUD.
Special presentation was done by Khiamniungan Students’ Union Chumoukedima (KSUC) and Mission in Music Academy (MIMA) and concluded with a benediction by Mr. Hangchem Thai, Advisor KSUD.
During the event, the new officials of KSUD for the Tenure 2023-24 was also inducted
The second session also witnessed various presentations from students’ fraternity.
