Dimapur, July 28: The Kohima Sumi Hoho has vehemently condemned the robbery committed by four armed miscreants and their accomplice at delivery Pvt. Ltd, an online logistics delivery service, near High School junction, Kohima on the night of July 22.
While appreciating the police team led by SDPO (North) Kohima for their prompt action in apprehending the culprits, the Hoho said it anticipates for speedy delivery of justice so that it acts as a deterrent to future incidents as such.
The Hoho noted with distress and concern over the crime committed by some persons belonging to Sumi tribe, endangering the peace and security, which has added fear and panic among the people particularly during the time when everyone’s life is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The action committed by such unscrupulous persons in no way reflects our Sumi ethos and we as a community have always endeavored to contribute towards social peace and trust among all,” it said and hoped that the incident will not undermine our commitment towards building a culture of peace and unity.
Further, the KSH warned any member of Sumi community residing in Kohima indulging in any anti-social activities and tarnishing the image of the whole Sumi community will be dealt with stringent action up to the extent of eviction of the family from Kohima city. (Page News Service)
