Dimapur, August 29: The Kohima Smart City Development Ltd has initiated ‘Handle Bar Survey’ with cyclists and traffic personnel to gather qualitative and quantitative information regarding existing conditions.
The survey seeks to collect information about pedestrian and bicycle network gaps, signalized intersections, bicycle parking demand, safe/unsafe routes, posted and actual vehicular speeds and way finding amenities.
This is in continuation of the India Cycles4Change Challenge whereby Kohima under the initiative of the Kohima Smart City Development Ltd. is participating in the competition along with 95 other cities. It is an initiative of the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India to promote cycling which will conclude by October 2020. (Page News Service)
