Dimapur, September 27: The Konyak Region and Chakhesang Region of NSCN/GPRN and the Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) NSCN/GPRN have expressed support to Naga solution based on the Framework Agreement and that the solution should include Naga flag and Yehzabo (Constitution).
In a press release, NSCN (IM) Konyak Region CAO/caretaker, Phuae Konyak and secretary Mandao Konyak said it will uphold and firmly support the FA signed on 3rd August, 2015 and believed that this is the right platform to peacefully settle the Indo-Naga political issue based on the uniqueness of Naga history to co-exist as two entities with separate Naga national flag and Yehzabo.
In a separate statement, the Chakhesang national workers reaffirmed its stand to support Naga solution based on the FA.
Caretaker CAO, Chakhesang Region, Zhokhoneyi Soho (Deputy Kilonser) cautioned the Government of India to exercise democratic maturity and political will to give recognition to the Naga flag and Yehzabo (constitution), which are the inherent identity of the Naga political movement.
“It is therefore, natural that Naga solution without the Naga flag and Yehzabo (constitution) will be incomplete and unacceptable to the Naga people,” the statement said.
In another press statement, the Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) in an emergency meeting on September 25 resolved to continue supporting Naga solution based on the historic Framework Agreement.
KTU NSCN/GPRN president, Lh. Paohao (member, steering committee) said the meeting also resolved that Naga solution should include Naga flag and Yehzabo (constitution), without which it is not acceptable.
The KTU appealed to both the Government of India and NSCN to hammer out the solution that is honorable and acceptable to the Nagas. (Page News Service)
