Kohima, October 29: Chedema Baptist Church and Chakhesang Baptist Church today booked the quarter final berth of the ongoing Jubilee Trophy 2022 organised by Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) in celebration of its Silver Jubilee at Meriema Village Ground here.
In the first match of the day, Chedema BC defeated Tsiesema CRC by 6-0. Ruokuozhazo Keyho achieved the feat of scoring all the goals (double hat-trick).
In the second match, Chakesang BC defeated Dihoma CRC by a solitary goal coming through the boots of Velukho Rhakho.
Meanwhile, the organizers have informed that as per the earlier match fixtures of Jubilee Trophy, the proposed venue Meriema Village ground will conduct matches till October 29 only while the remaining matches from October 31 to November 5 were to be conducted at IG Stadium.
However, they said that the visit of the President and Prime Minister of India to Kohima on November 2 and 7 respectively has led to cancellation of the proposed matches at IG Stadium.
Therefore, the remaining matches will be played at Meriema Village playground till the Grand Finale on November 5, the organizers informed while expressing regret for the inconveniences.
Matches for Oct 31:
1. Meriema BC vs Koinonia B at 11 a.m.
2. CRC Pezielietsie vs Chiechama BC at 1 p.m.
