Kohima Super Cup: Barak enters final

Kohima, May 28: Barak Football Club today remained unbeaten to book their berth in the final of the ongoing 1st Kohima Super Cup, organised by Kohima Town Club at Indira Gandhi Stadium here.
Playing a closely contested first semi-final match, Barak FC beat strong contenders G Sports FC by 5-3 via a tie-breaker as the teams were locked in 3-3 draw during the stipulated time, including 30 minutes of extra-time.
Barak scored the first goal through Elminghao in the 13th minute of play but G Sports responded with the equaliser within a minute through Menguzelie to end the first half at 1-1.
After the break, it was Winamthiu who scored in 73rd minute for Barak,which was again equalised by Temjenwati Longkumer in the 80th minute for G Sports.
The five minute injury added time of the match witnessed intense contest as Kekhrieletuo turned the game with the third goal for G Sports but Baoringdao Bodo equalised within a minute taking the match into extra 30 minutes, which also ended with either side unable to score.
However, the tie-breaker went in favour Barak FC as they managed to convert all five shots while G Sports managed to score three.
