Kohima police recovers stolen LPG cylinders, 3 arrested

Dimapur, October 20: Kohima police has recovered 8 LPG cylinders and one LCD TV which were stolen by three persons from different colonies on several occasions within Kohima town during the last week of September and first week of October.
According to PRO Kohima Police, on October 5, one person identified as Dzuthzo Tsavito Zhimo, S/o Kughalu Zhimo was apprehended and produced at North Police Station by Pezielietsie Colony youth for theft of LPG cylinders in the house of one of the resident of the colony.
Accordingly, a case was registered and the accused person was arrested and in the course of investigation it was ascertained that the accused person had been indulging in the crime along with two other persons namely Vetsuto Nakro S/o Cuvoveyi Nakro and Shevoto Getsa S/o Tavesu Getsa both residents of Pholami Village.
In the course of further investigation, Police have recovered 8 LPG cylinders and one LCD TV, which were stolen by the trio from different colonies on several occasions within Kohima town during the last week of September and first week of October. Subsequently, the two absconding accused persons were arrested on October 19 from Pfutsero Town with the assistance of Pfutsero Police Station. Police have identified all the owners and the stolen items have been handed over to the respective owners. (Page News Service)
