Kohima police arrest 3 accused in LPG drivers’ assault case

Dimapur, July 24: Kohima police has apprehended all the three accused involved in the assault on LPG truck drivers and snatching of their mobile phones on July 4 & July 9. They were arrested from Paramedical, Kohima on July 23.
The three arrested are Medophretuo Medeo (29), son of Vichütuo Medeo of Khulazu Bawe, PO/PS- Chozuba, Phek, presently a resident of Paramedical Colony, Kohima; Pipenthung Humtsoe (29), son of Rabenthung Humtsoe of Pongitong village, PO/PS- Wokha, a resident of Paramedical Colony, Kohima and (Seyievilhou Phesao (26), son of Chekrosayi Phesao of Chozuba village, PO/PS- Chozuba, Dist- Phek, a resident of Paramedical Colony, Kohima.
Police said in the course of investigation, the trio admitted to have committed the crime of assaulting the drivers of the LPG truck below Belho Gas Service godown on NH29 on the night of July 4 & 9. All the accused have been forwarded to court and remanded to 48 hours police custody for further interrogation. (Page News Service)
