Kohima gets facelift for festive season


Kohima, November 24: The capital town of Nagaland – Kohima today got a facelift with owners of commercial establishments and businessmen engaging in white-wash and cleaning their surroundings in view of the forthcoming Hornbill Festival and also the Kohima Nigh Carnival.
The initiative was taken by Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) from Lerie to High school area, wherein all traders and business community with the municipal jurisdiction downed their shutters till 12 noon and participated in the social work.
The KCCI asked traders to put proper light bulbs in the front facade of their shop/showroom and place dustbins.
Meanwhile, KCCI president Medozhatuo Rutsa thanked fire service and PHE department for supplying water to facilitate the social work. He also acknowledged Kohima Municipal Council, 3rd Assam Rifle and 93rd BSF Battalion Kohima for their support. (Page News Service)
