Kohima Football League-2; Vanguard FC & New Market win

Kohima, August 4: Vanguard Football Tseminyu and New Market FC registered win in today’s two matches of the ongoing Kohima Football League-2 organised by Kohima Town Club at Local Ground here.
Playing the first match, Vanguard FC came from behind to defeat Khriekesa FC Meriema by 3-1.
Khriekesa FC scored the only goal through Ruokuovolie Phewhuo (9) just a minute before the lemon break. However, Vanguard FC managed to return to the game with an equalizer coming from the boots of Mathew Kezhose (5) in 58th minute while skipper Yhunshalo Kemp (9) neatly converted a spot kick to give the team the much needed lead in 64th minute. Sinlo Kent (11) sealed the score board with the third goal in injury added time of the match.
Kenanthong Kath (13) of Vanguard FC was penalised for unsporting behavior.
Playing a closely contested second match of the day, New Market FC won against Twenty XI FC Viswema by a solitary goal.
The only score of the match came through a direct free kick from Salu Kulim (14) in 6th minute while the two yellow cards were shown against Kethozhapu Meru (30) of New Market FC and Kevithuto Rhetso (13) of Twenty XI FC

1. Ziekiezou FC vs Sechü Zubza at 12 noon
2. United 16 FC vs Khriekesa FC Meriema at 2 p.m.
