Khriekesa FC and Ziekezou FC shares point
Kohima, July 27: Khriekesa Football Club and Ziekezou Football Club failed to overcome each other to share a point each in the ongoing second edition of Kohima Football League organized by Kohima Town Club at Local Ground here.
Khriekesa FC came from behind to snatch a point against Ziekezou Sporting Club.
Defending champion’s Ziekezou SC dominating the game took an early lead through Neikethozo Yhome as his long ranger stunned rival custodian to find the nets in the 12th minute. They could have found more goals within next few minutes had not Kethosilie Zatsu not missed two opportunity with his shots barely missing the target. Nevertheless, Ratobe N Poireng managed to double the margin in the 36th minute to lead the first half 2-0.
In the breather half, Khriekesa FC managed to return to the game as the referee awarded penalty spot kick which was neatly converted by Ruokuovolie Phewhuo in 53rd minute while they succeeded in equalizing the margin in 63rd minute through Vimelie.
On the other hand, they would have even found the lead had not defender Velukho Rhakho’s long range not being dodged by the rival keeper Sedekhotuo Sote in the 80th minute, while on the other hand Ziekezou forward Ratobe’s missed a golden opportunity in 82nd minute as he held a long pass from Neikethozo inside the rival danger zone but his shot went behind for goal-kick.
Khrieneituo Kezieo of Khriekesa FC and Ratobe of Ziekezou were yellow carded for unsporting behavior in 56th and 80th minute while Ziekezou’s Nipato was sent off the field for intentional handball in injury added time of second half.
