Sechü-Zubza humiliates United 16; Twenty-XI & Ziekiezou draw
Kohima, August 8: Debutants Sechü-Zubza Football Club today humiliated United 16 FC Lerie to remain on the top while Ziekiezou FC and Twenty-XI FC Viswema shared a point each in today’s two matches of Kohima Football League-2 organised by Kohima Town Club at Local Ground here.
Playing a totally lopsided match, Sechü-Zubza FC thrashed United 16 FC Lerie by 6 goals to nil, the highest defeat margin so far in this edition of the tournament.
Sechü-Zubza FC opened the flood gates through Shürhosül Zhotso (9) off a long pass from Khiuwangbo Kaurintah (8) in 15th minute while the skipper Kekhrieletuo Tsira (11) doubled the tally in 44th minute to end the first half. After the lemon break, Aloumei Panmei (10) scored the third in 47th minute, fourth by Noune Medoze (21) in 52nd minute while Shürhosül Zhotso added his second and fifth for the team 59th minute through a direct free-kick and Zeaneikho Miasalhou (19) closed the match with sixth goal in injury added time.
Zeaneikho was the only player to be yellow carded.
Earlier playing the first match of the day, Twenty XI FC Viswema managed to hold back defending champs Ziekiezou SC at 1-1 draw and share equal point.
Ziekezou FC found an early goal through skipper Neikethozo Yhome (7) in 11th minute and continued to hold till the 90 minutes play. But its defender pulling down rival forward Zevito Khizho (10) inside the D’box during the three minutes injury added time cost them heavily as the referee awarded penalty. Metol Neikha (7) took the shot and did not make in mistake to finish the match in a draw.
Both Neikethozo Yhome (7) and Ketholezo (6) of Ziekiezou SC were yellow carded during the match.
Commandant of 4th NAP, Teisovise Metha witnessed the match as patron.
