Nerehema & Khriekesa to clash in final today

Kohima, September 4: Nerehema Village Football Club and Khriekesa FC have entered into final of the Kohima district Capt (Late) N Kenguruse Football Tournament organized by the Assam Rifles at Local Ground here.
Winning the respective semi-final matches today, they will play clash in the final to be held tomorrow at 2:30 PM.
Playing the first semi-final, Nehrema Village FC defeated Naga FC by 4-2. Shurhosul scored two goals in 5th and 34th minute while Petevizo and Menguzelie added one each in 32nd and injury added time of the second half respectively. For Naga FC the scorers were Johny in 29th minute and Kethozhapu Meru in 73rd minute. Aloumai and Noune of Nerhema FC were yellow carded during the match.
In the second semi-final, Khriekesa FC, Meriema came from behind to knock out Ziekiezou FC by 4-1. Ziekezou scored first through Vilhoubietuo in 28th minute while Ratobe scored the much needed equalizer for Khriekesa in 43rd minute to end the first half in 1-1 draw. However, after the lemon break, Khriekesa increased the tally through Khrieneituo Kezieo, Achamo and Nzauhut in 63rd, 73rd and 82nd minute of play. Meanwhile, Akuo-o Ciesotsu of Khriekesa FC was penalized for unsporting behavior.
Advisor for Youth Resource and Sports, MLA Zale Neikha was the special guest of the day.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Sandeep Sharada, Deputy Inspector General, Head Quarter 5 Sector Assam Rifles will grace the final match as chief guest.
