KMC introduces online service for citizens

Kohima, June 16: The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) which has gone digital has introduced Online municipal service for the citizens of the State capital.
The Online Municipal Service for KMC was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) which will cater to few online services applications, which will include-online booking for utility services like cesspool, water tanker, Excavator, trucks and tipper trucks. These services can be booked and pay online.
Also the online service will have Public Grievance Redressal where anyone can lodge complaint of any type within the KMC jurisdiction-for redressal in the interest of the general public.
KMC at present have 19 Wards covering a total area of nearly which accounts for just over 17% of the total planning area of greater Kohima with a population of 98,000 as per 2011 census.
