KLSU’s golden jubilee celebration commences

Mmhonlumo Kikon releases golden jubilee souvenir of KLSU on January 28 in Kohima

Kohima, January 28: A 2-day long golden jubilee celebration of Kohima Lotha Students’ Union (KLSU) commenced here today at Naga Solidarity Park.
Speaking at the introductory session, Mmhonlumo Kikon, advisor, information technology, science & technology and new & renewable energy, Nagaland spoke on the issues faced by the Lotha community and urged upon the people to review one’s thinking and work together for Lotha common cause.
He stressed on the need to develop creative thinking, adding “We all should have a review thinking and not criticizing thinking.”
He also felt that this golden jubilee should make a pledge to be united and uplift the community
Also exhorting the gathering, MLA Dr. Chumben Murry said “Jubilee is a time to retrospect, introspect and prospect for better tomorrow.”
We should all ponder on what is good for our society, he said.
He asserted that to be holistic person there are certain attitudinal principles in life and “these we learn through education and culture.”
He challenged the students to scale up nine attitudinal principles for a better tomorrow.
He said one must be ethical, integrity, responsible, respect for laws & rules, respect for rights of other citizens, work to shape oneself, have a sense of saving & investment and punctuality
Earlier, dedication of the golden jubilee celebration was done by Rev. Sankiluma Kikon, Pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church.
Meanwhile, Y. Patton, Deputy Chief Minister Nagaland will grace the day two celebration on January 29 at 9:30 a.m. as the special guest. (Page News Service)
