Kiphire DPDB meeting held

Dimapur, June 17: The monthly Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on June 12 in the DC’s conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of vice chairman DPDB Kiphire & Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Mohammad Ali Shihab, IAS.
The Board reviewed the previous meeting minutes regarding creation of new EAC HQ at Tepe area and the proposal submitted by Langzanger village for setting up a sub-centre at Langzanger Village.
The DC requested the district officers to highlight and inform to their parent Department to implement programmes successfully in the district. He informed the district officers to be prepared for their presentation as and when they are given opportunity. SP Kiphire who is being transferred to Mon recently said that staying in Kiphire was always eventful. He thanked the NGOs of Kiphire for cooperating with the police and the district administration. SDO Civil Kiphire, Nchumbemo who is being transferred to Mokokchung recently also gave a farewell speech.
Tseminyu SDPDB meet held
SDPDB held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of Adviser for Veterinary & Animal Husbandary, R. Khing on June 11 at DB’s customary court, ADC office, Tseminyu.
The meeting discussed various agendas for creation of the following posts in Tseminyu Sub-Division: Creation of EAC HQ at Kandi area, creation of the post of SDO Irrigation & Flood Control, creation of the post of SDO (Power), creation of the Post of Sub-Registrar of Cooperative Society, and creation of Sub-Station for Fire & Emergency Services.
The house deliberated the agendas at length and decided to recommend all the five cases to Government for approval.
SDPDB also felicitated students from Rengma community – Rasule Kemp, Sociology Subject Topper in HSSLC/Class 12 from GHSS Tseminyu with 97% marks who received State Governor’s Award and Bwenyu Kemp, a Gold Medalist in B.Com (Hons) in Accountancy & Finance B.Com from Tetso College under Nagaland University.
Mangkolemba: The Mangkolemba Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board meeting was held on June 8 under the chairmanship of Advisor, Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Account and chairman SDPDB Mangkolemba, Longrineken at Dobashi Hall, Mangkolemba.
The chairman while addressing the meeting sought support and suggestions from the members so as to bring about a change in the sub division during his tenure. He also hoped to see improvement in the attendance of members in the coming meetings
Pughoboto: The SDPDB meeting cum felicitation of HSLC meritorious students was held on June 13 at ADC Office, Pughoboto. ADC and SDPDB vice chairman, Avelu Ruho reviewed the last meeting minutes.
MLA & SDPDB chairman Y. Vikheho Swu called upon the house to inform all the villages to conduct social work before Tuluni festival. The house decided to let R&B department to present their departmental activities and by the medical department in August.
The house also facilitated meritorious HSLC students. Four schools registered 100 percent pass in the recent HSLC result 2018 from Pughoboto HSLC Centre including two from GHS Ighanumi, GHS Asukiqa and two private schools including DBS Lazami and Mission school Pughoboto. The MLA gave away citation certificates with cash awards.
