Dimapur, February 21: The Khiamniungan National Workers of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) and Khiamniungan Tribal Council along with other civil society groups had a consultative meeting on February 15 at Noklak. The NSCN side was led by Kilonser Maj. (Retd.) N.S. Thangpong and Steering Committee member, M. Longshen.
The meeting focused on the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks, particularly Pan Naga Hoho. The Khiamniungan people showed their appreciation to the NSCN members on the progress of Indo-Naga political talks and the decision taken on Pan Naga Hoho if it would benefit the whole Nagas. The Khiamniungan people also reminded the mandate given to the NSCN by the Naga people. They also express their aspiration that Naga political problem be solved at the earliest.
The Khiamniungan Hoho, however, showed their concern for the Eastern Khiamniungan in particular and other Nagas in Myanmar. They urged the NSCN negotiating team to leave no scope for doubt on Pan Naga Hoho.
Besides others, important members from the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) was led by L Ngon, President, KTC.
