Khelo India Centre inaugurated at Jalukie

Dimapur, June 4: A Khelo India Centre (Archery) was inaugurated at St. Xavier College, Jalukie on June 4. The Centre was inaugurated by Associate Vice President of Athletics Federation of India, Abu Metha.
Speaking on the inaugural function as the Special Guest, Abu Metha said in the olden days, arrows were used not only in sports but also as a means of survival to hunt, and shoot during wars but today it is used to show that ‘we are the best and the country’.
Metha also said that the Catholic Church and its institutions are accountable for building the nation by way of imparting quality education and producing great leaders in the country and State. He encouraged them to continue working for the common cause towards supporting nation-building.
