
ZUNHEBOTO, JUNE 13: Advisor to Tourism and Art & Culture, H Khehovi Yeputhomi on Monday urged upon the BJP party workers to create awareness on different welfare schemes launched by the Central Government and collect ground-level information on implementation of the schemes.
He made the appeal to BJP Zunheboto unit leaders and members while replying to a query on the number of Centrally-sponsored schemes being implemented in the district during a press conference on ‘Seva, Sushasanaur Gareeb Kalyan Parv’ held here today.
The Advisor, who is also the BJP legislator in-charge of Zunheboto district, said that as BJP workers they should approach the different Government Departments to enquire about the actual implementation of the schemes which are meant for the welfare of the public.
Highlighting the various welfare schemes of the Modi Government, including PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, AwasYojana, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana, Kisan Sammannidhi, Minimum Support Price, Kaushal Vikas Yojana, National Education Policy, etc., Yepthomi directed the different cells of BJP Zunheboto to go to the villages and check whether the schemes are reaching the intended beneficiaries.
BJP workers are on a massive cleanliness drive, cleaning the health centres, cemeteries, places of worship, and also tree plantation as a part of ‘SEVA’ (service), he said.
Visitation to orphanages and old aged homes are also being taken up on alternate days across the State, he said.
The Advisor informed that with an objective to showcase various developmental activities under Prime Minister Modi, bike rallies will be organised in Mokokchung and Mon.
They are also visiting of Mon Medical College, Eklavya Model Residential School, Mokokchung, and Astro Turf, Tuensang, which are “important achievements” under Modi Government in the field of education, medical and sports in Nagaland, he said.
He informed that to uplift the poor, the party workers will reach out to the beneficiaries of PM’s Card Holders, ration cards holders, kisan cards holders and beneficiaries of free LPG cylinders, housing-for-all beneficiaries, etc, to create more awareness.
The 15-day long celebration of Prime Minister Modi’s 8 years “successful Government” will wind up with a ‘Tribal Mela’ at RCEMPA, Kohima, to be organised by ST Morcha, Nagaland, on June 15 with cultural display, indigenous games and exhibition on June 15 in Kohima, he said.
BJP Zunheboto district unit president Shikuto Sema asserted that the district officials along with the 7 Assembly Constituency units (mandals) as well as women, youth bodies and the cells have been carrying out all the directives of the BJP Nagaland in commemoration of the successful 8 years of Modi Government.
Later, ex-candidate and BJP Nagaland CEC Member, Hukiye Tiscca also exhorted the BJP Zunheboto workers.
