Khalo graces MYS golden jubilee

Dimapur, January 10: Mesulumi youth society celebrated golden jubilee on January 9 at Mesulumi village local ground with MLA, 17th Chizami A/C, Kezhienyi Khalo as special guest.
Khalo, himself a former president of the MYS, in his speech thanked God for the auspicious day and gave greetings to the MYS office bearers. He lauded the effort of the MYS pioneers and all the leaders who have worked tirelessly and have significantly contributed towards this celebration.
He lamented that in the present generation, many youths have spoilt their life by using intoxicants and that most youths have given more priority to their mobile phones instead of going to church during worship hours. He advised them to work hard, be more active in church activities and contribute towards the village development.
He further urged the village leaders to maintain cordial and healthy relations with the neighbouring villages. He challenged the leaders to give more dedication and cooperation and work together for the development of the Secheku range.
The MLA unveiled the jubilee monolith at Chitho Rikhube which was blessed by pastor MBC Kewekhazu Venuh.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Kulo Kapfo, welcome note was delivered by President CRPO, Welhipe Chiero and vote of thanks was pronounced by VCC Mesulumi, Wenyilo Venuh.
