Kiphire, May 4: Kiphire District Covid-19 welfare committee donated Rs 25,000 to Chief Medical Officer’s Office, Kiphire in presence of Dr Dheni Thonger, District Epidemiologist on May 4.
Dr Tsilise, secretary, Kiphire District Covid-19 welfare committee appreciated the medical department in its fight against Covid-19. He lauded the commendable job done by the medical department during the first wave and urged the department to do the same even during the present crisis.
Stating that the money was donated to assist in Covid-19 related activities, especially during contact tracing, sample collection, and transportation, the committee called on the department to continue doing the good job while assuring their cooperation and helping hand in future.
Dr Dheni expressed gratitude to the committee for their kind gesture, saying the medical department will be able to do much with their contribution.
The doctor added that in the near future, the medical department would require their physical presence and moral support, which he said, would play a big role in boosting the morale in its continued fight against Covid-19. (Page News Service)
