KDCC-NPF Kohima hold 2nd round of discussions


Dimapur, April 7: As a follow up of April 2 coordination meeting between Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) and Naga People’s Front (NPF) Kohima Division, the two parties held second round of discussions at Congress Bhavan Kohima on April 4 with regard to the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting deliberated on strengthening of cooperation between the two parties in the district and therefore constituted a six member KDCC-NPF Kohima division Election Coordination Committee with the following six members.
NPF Kohima Division president Gonei-u Sirie as Convener, KDCC president Kevi Vizo as Co-Convener and NPF CoB secretary Sevotso (Ase) Seyie as secretary while the members are Khrielezo Bio, Vilhousielie Kengurüse, Yangertemjen.
The committee has been empowered to coordinate with constituency level officials and workers of both the parties to strengthen the hands of INC candidate K L Chishi for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections in the State with the objective of protecting secularism, and also stands against the implementation of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2016 and besides achieving an early resolution of the decades old Naga political issue.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of NPCC Working President and Convenor of KDCC Election Committee, Khriedi Theünuo was attended by leaders of NPF Kohima division along with the six Assembly Constituency units of NPF and also the KDCC officials with the frontal organizations.
