
Kohima, October 9: The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) Kohima conducted its Evangelistic Men’s Camp from October 5- 8 at Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa under the theme, “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers ” (1 Peter 4:7).
A press release from the KBC Media Ministry informed that the speakers were Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor, KBC and principal of Kohima Bible College (KBC); Medotseilieü Kiewhuo, Pastor, KBC; Neibalie Kiewhuo, Pastor, KBC; H Rokopra Mekro, Assistant Pastor, KBC and Zashekho Hibo, Evangelist, KBC.
It stated that a total of 120 campers along with 59 officials participated in the camp wherein, the campers were divided into four groups namely- Ezekiel (God will strengthen), Jeremiah (Yahweh Exalts) and Isaiah (Yahweh is Salvation) while the camp director was Lhouzakie Rutsa, deacon and Assistant camp director were Vizosül Sachü and Yentsao Tsopoe and the Praise and worship was led by Men’s fellowship Praise team.
During the Four day long camp, various topics were discussed- Sin and its consequences; Repentance and Salvation; Father/husband as a role model in the family and church; Temptation and testing; Baptism and role of the Holy spirit; Satanism-music, Tattoos, gamings, movies, festivals etc; Prayer; Giving; Evangelist; gospel economy; second coming of Christ; blessings and curse.
Meanwhile, it stated that during the gospel services topics on faith, restoration of the image of god and husband and father represent Christ were also expounded.
Further, the release stated, “Various addictions, substance abuser, alcoholics gave their life to Jesus”.
Best campers were awarded to Moses Veduo, Setu Chetri and Kevisilie Thernuo from Ezekiel group; L Toshimeren Longkumer, Kekuoletuo Thernuo and Neiketukho Nipu from Isaiah group, Khrieletuo Seyie, T Ngullie and Heman Goyari from Jeremiah group.
