Dimapur, April 12: The Department of Water Resources launched the Kapoki Mi project at Zunheboto village on April 10, under PMKSY-Har Khel Ko Pani 270 batch. The project is implemented under the Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoWR, RD&GR) with an estimated cost of Rs 94,06,880. The work commenced in 2018-19 and was completed in 2019-20.
With the construction of this project and the improved irrigation facilities, farmers can now undertake multiple cropping. The project was implemented with active participation of the farmers so as to promote participatory irrigation management (PIM) in the irrigation system. As has been the practice of the Department, the project will now be handed over to the beneficiaries for their use and future maintenance. (Page News Service)
