Dimapur, October 29: Karbi Anglong Dimapur Transporter Association (KADTA) and Karbi Anglong Sand & Stone Mohaldar & Suppliers Association (KASSMSA) Majha had a joint meeting today at Bokajan, Karbi Anglong.
The meeting decided to reconsider the previous increase of sand rate which was hiked by Rs 10 per cft in July 2018, which comes to Rs 32 per cft in total at the Sand Mahal Karbi Anglong.
KASSMA president Detward Bey said that it will discuss in the next joint meeting the date and time for which will be intimated later.
Detward Bey requested all suppliers to pay as usual at the Sand Mahal and also requested the supplier to coordinate and consult the KADTA in near future for smooth running of business.
KADTA president, Anil Toppo has requested the vehicle owners of sand suppliers to contact and coordinate with KADTA general secretary, Nito Sumi because from October 30, Dimapur unit will be looked after by general secretary and members in related sand transportation, and Karbi Anglong unit president Anil Toppo along with members will look after in Karbi Anglong.
Both Presidents, Detward Bey (KASSMA) and Anil Toppo (KADTA) has requested the general secretary, Nito Sumi (KADTA) to look into the taxation issue at Dimapur that the Union/Association is charging more rate than the prescribed rate as issued by authority and also to submit the same within 5 days.
The Association also informed to all the members and suppliers that there will be election of working President post in the first week of December 2018 because the present working President, Viniho Shohe cannot give time due to health problems.
Any interested person among the members can apply for the post on or before November 30 at the head office Lahorijan.
In today’s meeting both the Associations had agreed to work together in near future in the interest of general public and as well as vehicle owners of sand suppliers. (Page News Service)
