
Dimapur, March 5: A jungle fire was reported at 6th Mile, Sovima, Pesuozhü Ward, Dimapur on March 4. Fire & Emergency Services team from Fire Station Chümoukedima proceeded to control the fire on receiving a fire call and prevented from spreading. It took Fire Team 23 minutes to combat the fire.
Cause of fire is due to clearing of garden, there was no casualty.
The response team was led by Duty Commander ASI Thangpong Khiamniungan.
Meanwhile, on March 2, a fire was reported at Loyola Campus (Catholic Cemetery), Kiphire at 5 p.m.
Fire & Emergency Services team from Fire Station Kiphire proceeded to control the fire and controlled the fire and prevented from burning the farm and Rest House.
