
Kohima, March 11: Juggernauts today have emerged winners of the second edition of the Open Super Six Cricket Tournament organized by Adjustment Bureau, Kohima on the theme “Pursue Oneness” commenced on Friday.
In the final, Juggernauts defeated Kohima Hornbills Cricket Club to win the first prize of 25,000. Runners-up walked away with Rs 8000.
Chairman Tsiepfü Tsiepfhe Council Kohima Swelul Pucho who graced the inaugural event as special guest expressed the sad reality of today’s youth where many are involved in drugs, alcohol addiction and mobile games.
He encouraged the youth to take up sports with genuine discipline and bring about positive change in the society. He further applauded the organizers for initiating such events and encouraged them to come up with similar events in the days ahead.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Convenor of the organizing committee Anato Sema who also gave away the prizes along with President of Adjustment Bureau Kevichüto Yhoshü.
Altogether, 10 teams participated in the tourney.
