Journalists mourn colleague’s death

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 27: The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has mourned the death of its member, Soreishim Mahong, a photojournalist, who passed away on Wednesday morning at Dimapur.


Mahong was previously associated with The Morung Express and Eastern Mirror.
In a message, DPC stated that Mahong was known for his dedication and sincerity towards his work and has left behind many valuable contributions which will be remembered by all.
The Club conveyed its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members.
In a separate message, the Kohima Press Club (KPC) expressed grief at the demise of “a dear friend and colleague”.
“The Kohima Press Club remembers Sorei in many ways ~ a gentleman with a huge smile and a great sense of humour, always telling great and profound stories through his work/photography,” it stated.
The Club offered condolences to the bereaved family.
“To Sorei, you shall be dearly missed”, it stated.
Also, the Nagaland Press Association (NPA) stated that it was very saddened by the death of the photojournalist.
“With his untimely departure, we have not only lost a fine photojournalist, but an honest and God-fearing person”, it stated and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
The Editor and staff of Nagaland Page have also mourned the death of our friend and colleague, Soreishim Mahong who passed away on October 27 at Dimapur.


“At this hour of grief, we offer our heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members. Go in peace, Sorei”, the paper said in a condolence message.
