DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 18: The State-Level Special Team to check power theft, in order to improve revenue collection and ensure effective management of power system in Dimapur district, held a meeting on Monday at SE Power Office, Nagarjan in Dimapur, with officers of Power Department, representatives of District Administration and District Police.
In the meeting, it was decided that besides regular raids and disconnection drives conducted by the Department, there would be joint raids along with District Administration and Police on power theft, and disconnection drive against non-payment of electricity bills.
In this connection, the team leader Sara S Jamir, Joint Secretary of Power, has appealed to all the village authorities, GBs, colony leaders and general public to extend their support in checking the menace of power theft.
She cited Power theft as one reasons for overloading of transformers. (Page News Service)
