JD(U) against any infringement of Nagas religious sentiments

Dimapur, August 29: The JD (U) Nagaland has strongly opposed any action and practices of any political party or parties that infringes into the religious sentiments of the people of Nagaland as well as perforates into the cultures and traditions of the Naga society.
The State JD(U) comes against the backdrop of widespread opposition in Nagaland to the attempt of the BJP Nagaland to immerse the ashes of former Prime Minister of India, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Nagaland.
While not specifically naming the BJP, the JD (U) Nagaland said the will and welfare of the people is supreme and is above any political ideology “or even directive of high command” for any political party or parties for the people, by the people and of the people.
The JD (U) Nagaland made its stand clear that although it is a part of the Peoples’ Democratic Alliance (PDA) of Nagaland, yet it shall not in any circumstance(s) compromise the issue of crime, corruption and communalism (3Cs) no matter what the costs may be.
Stating that it shall stand against any authority, individual or party that harbours the 3Cs and shall endeavour to keep Nagaland free of these 3Cs, the JD (U) appealed to the people of Nagaland to stand in support when such issue is raised by the party in days to come.
