JCPI suspends proposed protest rally

Dimapur, April 16: The JCPI has suspended its proposed protest rally in all district headquarters on April 17 due to the pandemic situation and continuation of nationwide lockdown to maintain social distancing.
It may be mentioned that the JCPI had earlier announced its phases of agitation starting with protest rally in all district headquarters on April 17 to press the state government to expedite RIIN exercise and total implementation of ILP with comprehensive mechanism.
Meanwhile, the JCPI has appealed to all concerned especially to the bordering villages to be vigilant on the possible influx of migrants.
It urged the state government to gear up all systems and leave no stone un-turn to fight the threat of COVID-19.
It also appealed to all concern to stay safe and stay home until we overcome this pandemic situation. (Page News Service)
