JCPI reminds tribe hohos of June 7 meet

Dimapur, June 5: The Joint Committee for Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) has reminded all the 16 tribe hohos of Nagaland for their participation in the consultative meeting on June 7 at Tourist Lodge Hotel, Dimapur at 11 a.m.
The JCPI said it is not issuing official letters of intimation in this regard because almost all the leaders or representatives of the 12 tribes of Nagaland present in the last meeting were unanimous in their view that there should be another meeting on June 7 and the JCPI is of the opinion that the sentiment and the resolution of the house must have been conveyed to their respective tribe hohos by the representatives/leaders.
It made it clear that another round of talks on June 7 was fixed because 4 out of the 16 tribes could not attend the May 18 meeting. While the house acknowledged the presence of representatives from 9 tribes it also felt that having only 3 presidents present in the meeting was too less for any concrete decision to be taken.
The JCPI extends its invitation to the 3 mass based organizations – CNTC, ENPO and TPO (Angami, Chakhesang, Pochury, Rengma, Zeliang), all CSOs including Dimapur based organizations for the said meeting.
