Dimapur, February 2: The JCPI held a consultative meeting with apex tribe Hohos, mass based organizations and CSOs in Dimapur today.
The house appreciated the State Committee on ILP for undertaking the task of overhauling the archaic ILP system in the state with sincerity.
Since the ILP Committee had asked for 7 days more time to submit its recommendations to the state government, including with the recommendation to include Dimapur district under ILP, the house empowered the JCPI to take any action deem fit if the recommendations are not submitted to the state government on or before February 6.
The house also appreciated JCPI for taking the initiative on the controversial CAB issue.
The house approved that the JCPI along with apex tribe hohos, CSOs and mass-based organizations would submit a Joint Memorandum on CAB to the President of India at the earliest.
