JAC Peren appeals to DC to hold back Covid Positive returnees at Dimapur

Dimapur, June 2: Joint Action Committee (JAC) Covid-19, Peren District has appealed to DC Peren cum Chairman, DTF Covid-19 to hold back Covid Positive returnees of Peren at Dimapur due to lack of facilities.
In a letter to the DC, the JAC Convenor, Dr Tumda Newme stated that they are aware of the latest SOP of the Government of Nagaland, but looking at the ground reality of the facilities in the designated COVID-19 Hospital Jalukie. However, the JAC would make it clear to the Government that they would not accept positive returnees at the moment till arrangements are made to take care of possible worsening health conditions of those positive cases within the district.
The JAC appealed to the DC to intimate their concerned to the higher authority to retain the positive cases, except the negative one in Dimapur where facilities are in place.
“Failure to acknowledge our concerns at this moment, the authority concern will be responsible for any eventuality,” it stated. (Page News Service)
