I&TC Dept welcomes new Advisor

Dimapur, April 15: The Department of Information Technology & Communication held an introductory meeting with Advisor, Information Technology & Communication, Mmhonlumo Kikon on April 12. Commissioner & Secretary, KD Vizo who chaired the function and delivered the welcome address, congratulated the Advisor and said that through his dynamic leadership, dedicated and excellent experience, the department would benefit in various activities and bring a change.
Addressing the staff and officers, Mmhonlumo Kikon that with failure and experience, the department should be ready to embrace a better future and believe that all of the staff and officers are equally serious and sincere towards making the programmes work, with stability in the states for five years and with that mandate, to change the department and change the state. He urged the department that if they are to implement half of what they are implementing, they will actually be able to have control over every other department someday, because information is knowledge and there will be a time when other departments will be dependent on them.
Kikon stated that Nagaland being a small state, many big players may not be interested in coming and working here but we have our strength to exploit that, and if we focus our energy on the future, we will be able to work. He added that he will put money on workshops, conferences or seminars as training is essential, upgrading themselves is essential and being in tune with the development of technological world is very important, otherwise one becomes redundant, so the focus should be to upgrade our knowledge.
Kikon added that his ultimate goal is to give full cooperation to the department, to grow and work together and begin this chapter on a positive note.
