It has now come to light that fear is knocking our door steps and our precious lives are in constant threat due to various insecurity problems created within our own society. We are now almost completing the 2nd Decade of the 21st Century, “The Age of Scientific Revolutions (ASR)” – the term which I coined way back in the year 2004, for the present Century and the New Millennium. But looking back at the domestic problems of our own society, we are still Barbarians in our approach and outlook. Should we not upgrade our ideas and creativities by putting a little bit of extra effort to catch up with the rest of the World? I am sure no one is waiting for us but all nations of the World are trying their level best to increase their paces to go ahead and excel in all walks of life.
Now, let us look into the matter the present conditions of our Economic, Social, Political, Educational, Religious and Scientific advancements and compare them with the rest of the World – then we are at the bottom most pit. Who is responsible and accountable for our un-doings and misdoings? Is it our Politicians, Bureaucrats, Technocrats, NGOs and Pressure Groups or the Ignorant Common Citizens? I also want us to know whether our Politicians are our Leaders too. Are the playing politics just to grab Power and Money so that they can enjoy their lavish life-styles at the expense of the whole society? At the moment, the politicians are not delivering their mandate as Public Leaders but are working as Commission Agents (Dalals) between the Government of India and the Common Men – that is just to make money from the petty sum of money we are getting for the whole Society from the Government of India and elsewhere. Secondly, our Bureaucrats and Technocrats are also not working as Public Servants but are acting like the Second Masters in line along with their Political Masters.
Our educated youths are becoming un-employed, our beautiful girls are becoming prostitutes and our expectations are cheating on us not just because we are incapable of doing things but because of the system victimization. On top of all these, now fear has also gripped in into our society and now we are afraid of each other more than those of our enemies. Are we not reducing ourselves to just mere weapons of our enemies in the form of Pimps and Traitors just for momentary benefits? Let us be true to ourselves and reassess our foot-holds and standings in the society so that each one of us will know who truly we are in our own society. Are we Chameleons, Pimps, Traitors, Exploiters or Leaders and True Sons and Daughters of the Soil?
As the great writer CM Joad said, “In order to bring about Civilization in the Society we will need Security, Leisure and Free Thinking as the pre-requisites”. Do we guarantee ourselves of the above pre-requisites for inventions and discoveries which will lead us to a civilized society in the shortest possible time frame?
So here: Firstly – who will guarantee our Physical, Social and Economic Security? Secondly, will the Criminals and Conspirators go un-punished? Thirdly – Is the Law and the Law Enforcing Agencies not for protecting the interest of the Law Abiding Innocent Citizens? Punishing a criminal is not revenge from the victim side but to let the victim know that the Society cares. The Laws belong to the people and the Criminal is punished not for revenge but because one has broken the Laws of the society and is a Collective Social Action against the criminal to heal the common sentiment that has been hurt by the act of crime.
Therefore, the Laws must be un-biased – even the Holy Bible Says, “One should not sympathize when a criminal is punished.”
