IRCSN provides relief to stranded students

Dimapur, April 11: In light of the dire circumstances faced by many stranded students and daily wage earners due to the lockdown, the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) provided relief food items to many affected families at Kohima on April 11.
A IRCSN release said the Red Cross team began the relief outreach with Perizie Colony and moved on to other areas including Sanuorü, Zienuobadze, High School, Bible College area, Meriema Junction, Keyake, Leprosy Colony etc. The team also interacted with some colony members.
Altogether, about 450 families were given relief packages containing rice, dal, sugar and salt.
NPF 9th Kohima: The NPF 9th Kohima Town A/C distributed food items to the poor and needy people irrespective of any political affiliations in colonies and wards under Kohima town.
While performing the charity activities, the volunteers maintained social distancing protocols and encouraged people to stay at home to stay safe from the global pandemic.
