Dimapur, May 7: As Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch and the state of Nagaland join the rest of the world in observing the World Red Cross Day on March 8, Governor of Nagaland R N Ravi said Indian Red Cross Society, while celebrating its centenary, remains committed towards the cause of humanity and in their efforts to make people’s lives better.
In a message on the occasion, the Governor said the theme of this year World Red Cross Day, “Keep clapping for volunteers” is for everyone who has been relentlessly working on the frontline to prevent and respond to COVID-19.
When the whole country is facing the wrath of deadly COVID-19, humanitarian organization Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland is tirelessly working in tandem with the local authorities for the aid of needy, remotely-placed and stranded people, he stated and affirmed that the IRCS Nagaland working hand in hand with the administration will meet the challenges of this pandemic situation.
On this occasion of the World Red Cross Day, the Governor conveyed best wishes to all its volunteers and staff who go out rendering selfless humanitarian services and saving lives every day.
