IPR Advisor calls on MoS I&B

Dimapur, May 4: Advisor, IPR, SCERT & Village Guards, Toshi Wungtung Friday called on Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, (I/c) Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at his office Shashtri Bhawan New Delhi.
During the courtesy call, the Advisor appraised the Minister on the activities of the department in the State. He also highlighted the problem faced by the State and requested the Minister to support a special high frequency towers in the interior parts of the State for better connectivity in communication, community radio programme and FM channel.
The advisor also sought modernization of IPR by construction of sub-centres in all the districts of Nagaland which should be linked with (headquarter) Directorate office, Kohima for live coverage of important events in all parts of the State, local channel for all the major dialects etc.
The Union Minister patiently heard the grievances shared by the Advisor and also noted the points raised by the Advisor. Assuring that he will take up the matters raise by the Advisor, the Minister asked the advisor to meet again in regard to modernisation of the IPR department in the State, informed a release issued by PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi.
