International Women’s Day celebrated at Aghunato

Kohima, March 6: State Bank of India (SBI) Mokokchung Region celebrated International Women’s Day celebrated at Aghunato on March 6th. Around 230 women folks representing various SHGs attended the event.
Joy Chandra Chakma AGM Regional Manager SBI Mokokchung Region in his address shared that SBI, to empower women this event was organised! He encouraged the Gathering to effectively use Banking facilities not just for credit but for deposit purpose as well. He explained the various social Security Schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and others. He expressed that the huge turn out is a sign that Aghunato SHGs are not just name sake SHGs however effective SHGs and encouraged the Gathering to continue striving hard for the economic growth of the division and the state at large.
Pakon Phom ADC aghunato address the gathering and reaffirm their continuous support to SHGs and the Bank towards economic upliftment of the community and the state at large.
Vicky Mech Chief Manager Credit SBI RBO Mokokchung explained various schemes available for SHGs and minutely clarified bank related doubts of the gathering.
20 In principle Loan Sanction letter was issued to various SHGs amounting to an amount of Rs 83,50,000.
The programme was chaired by Benlo Thyu Branch Manager SBI Aghunato, welcome note was delivered by Jafet Sumi, Block Programme Manager Tokiye Block and Words of Gratitude by Ellen Yeptho.
