Inter-college extempore speech competition held

Dimapur, November 24: Takanungba Pongen of Modern College, Kohima, was the winner of an inter-college extempore speech competition on “Accountability, Transparency and Good Governance”, organised on Wednesday by the office of the Principal Accountant General, Nagaland, Kohima.

A press release informed that 24 students representing 12 colleges in and around Kohima participated in the competition.
The winner received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a certificate. Hanlula Yimchungrü of Sazolie College, Jotsoma was in second place while the third position went to Philomina Rutsa of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma-both received cash and certificates.
Consolation prizes were given to all the participants.
The judges for the competition were Dr. Rosemary Dzüvichü, Professor of English, Nagaland University; Rupin Sharma, DG (Home Guards, Prisons & SDRF); and Rajesh Soundararajan, DC Dimapur.
